Event Description
The 26th Annual Run for Life 5k will be hosted by the University of Missouri Doctor of Physical Therapy organization. The race is planned to be held at Twin Lakes Recreation Area at the Twin Lake's Shelter at 9:00am on October 6th. Participants are to arrive at 8:30am in order to be checked in for the race and given the details of the race path. Following race, participants will be invited to stay for food and an award ceremony.
The purpose of this event is listed below:
- To honor the memory of two special individuals who were students of the Mizzou Physical Therapy Program:
Christopher Griffith tragically died shortly after graduation while working as a local home health therapist. Stacey Bragg was a member of the Class of 1997 who passed away while enrolled in the program. Each is remembered for their kindness, gentle spirit, compassion for others, and support of the profession. - To raise funds for SPTO: funds are used to support physical therapy-related service activities, and student professional development through stipends to attend state and national PT conferences, and to cover administrative costs of SPTO.
IMPORTANT! Please register online by Sunday, September 22 in order to reserve a t-shirt for the week of the race. After this time, you will only have the option to register for the race at a cheaper price which does not include a t-shirt.
Pickup for shirts is 10/04 from 8am- 4pm at Clark Hall (701 S Providence Rd) OR the day of the race on 10/06 from 8:00-8:45 am

COURSE: Course will follow the MKT Trail to a turnaround point (1.55 mile point) and follow the same path back to the finish. There will be a hydration station at the turnaround point as well.
