Event Description

For the third year running we are thrilled to offer you SRC Distance Challenge 2025.  Our continued passion is to promote and celebrate mileage goals for the year and encourage runners of SRC to set challenging goals and stick to them all year long.  This year our cities are going to take us on a running "Family Vacay" SRC style.  We are hoping that the fun and nostalgic cities and landmarks chosen will keep you motivated to run and push you a little further than you might have gone.  As you can image there are a few rules that apply to this challenge.  Not to police or discourage but to help us maintain the integrity of this running challenge.  

Runner must be a member of the Stephenville Running Group page on Facebook. (exceptions made on a per runner basis and typically only for youth not on social media)

Runner must be affiliated with SRC on Strava and allow Julie to follow.  

Runner must set runs to "public" for accurate recording from Jan 1st 2025.  

Strava miles are the only miles that are recorded for Distance Challenge.  (i.e. NRC or run keeper miles sent to me can not be recorded)

This is a running challenge.  That being said we only record miles ran not distance recorded.  Meaning walking, cycling, hikes etc are not added to the miles for distance challenge.

Runners run in all different ways.  We ask that you respectfully only record "run" miles while running.  Good rule of thumb...if it is a walk record it as a walk.  If you are a runner that uses run/walk intervals record it as a run.  Other "movement" activities should not be recorded for this challenge.  

Your entry fee covers the cost of magnets.  It does not cover shipping.  If you need magnets mailed, you will be asked to reimburse Julie for shipping cost.  

We are also asking for runners to pick up magnets within a reasonable amount of time.  After one month we will ask that you make arrangements to have them mailed to you.
