Event Description
This event is hosted by Main Street Newnan, in partnership to benefit Newnan-Coweta Boys & Girls Club. The Newnan-Coweta Boys & Girls Club works with hundreds of kids and teens to help them reach their full potential. The club provides an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop. Programs focus on helping succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders.
Sunrise on the Square Course Location Race Courses: The race begins in Downtown Newnan and spans through “The City of Homes”, where runners will catch a glimpse of our beautiful historic in-town neighborhoods and commercial district. The race is USATF certified , and chipped timing will be used!
Awards for overall M/F finishers ; Overall M/F Masters ; Top three Male/Female in age groups 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over. The 5K is USATF Certified (USATF 5K GA19040WC) and CHIPPED TIMED. Times can be used for seeding in Peachtree 10K but runner will have to submit information.
Non Profit Partner: All proceeds from the Sunrise on the Square Road Race will benefit Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club. Late registration and early run packet pick-up for registered runners and walkers on Thursday, August 29th from 2pm-6pm and Friday, August 30th from 10am 2pm at Dragonfly Running Co. at 10 Lagrange St, in Downtown Newnan.
