Event Description

Simply put, we love our neighbors and we love being a part of the Johns Creek community.  We are always looking for reasons to gather and have some fun together, and we are always looking for ways to pour back into the community we love so much.  And so, Johns Creek Baptist Church is happy to announce our first annual 5k and 1mile Fun Run - The JCBC Jaunt!  This year, proceeds will benefit The Johns Creek Art Center - a collection of talented and passionate people who love their neighbors too...in oh so many different ways!

Registration for the 5k includes a super-stylish JCBC Jaunt T-Shirt and goodie bag.  There is no registration fee for the 1Mile Fun Run.  JCBC Jaunt T-Shirts for our Fun Run friends are available for purchase.  TAKE NOTE: T-shirt cut off date is October 15th...so don't delay!

Why We Are Supporting the Johns Creek Arts Center

Well...they're nice people.  And they're cool.  But more than that, the JCAC loves our neighbors in some remarkable ways.  In addition to their many art classes and camps, the Art Center offers various adaptive art enrichment programs to special needs persons and also to Senior Citizens through programming at New Town Park.  They offer after-school art enrichment programming to 8 local elementary schools.  JCAC works to build bridges between the many cultures and ethnicities living in Johns Creek through art expressions and they are no strangers to lending a helping hand to those who need it - and who could use a little joy in their lives.  Their work with the Drake House, Lost & Found Youth, and Esther Jackson Elementary (Title 1) are examples.  Their community outreach programs are offered at no cost or at an appropriately reduced cost to their participants...and Johns Creek Baptist Church (and the whole JC community!) is pleased to have a chance to help them out with the proceeds from the 1st Annual JCBC Jaunt.  JCBC loves JCAC!
