Event Description

The 2022 Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk will take place on Saturday, October 1 and proceeds from this event will once again benefit the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation’s Breast Cancer Fund.  

We are pleased to announce that the 2022 Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk will be held in person, after holding virtual events in 2020 and 2021 due to the impact we all have experienced in both our business and personal lives from COVID-19.  The 2.2-mile walk will start and finish in the large parking lot at the John F. Fick, III Conference Center below the Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) Regional Cancer Center and Imaging Center for Women (ICW).

Since its inception, more than $154,400 has been raised to promote breast cancer awareness and assist families affected by breast cancer.  Please know that 100% of all monies raised for the Breast Cancer Fund remain right here in our community to support  families, friends, neighbors, relatives, and coworkers that are, or have been, affected by breast cancer. 

Take part in the largest group contest! When you register for the walk, form a group for a chance to win a prize! Walkers are also encouraged to participate in the Best PINK costume contest with a chance to be awarded prizes. Prizes will be awarded for the Best PINK outfit in three age categories: 12 and under; 13-20; and 21 and over. Dress your dog in his/her PINK outfit too!
