Event Description
Are you a high school or middle school runner interested in being part of a cross country training program this fall?
Are you a coach interested in supporting a youth cross country training program this fall?
Richmond Road Runners Club is supporting a Cross Country Program for youth in the Richmond, Virginia region this fall. During the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the limited availability of school-supported athletic programs, RRRC wants to support youth who want to train for cross country running and support the coaches who want to encourage their runners' athletic development.
Several volunteer coaches have already volunteered to organize and lead youth cross country training programs. Each team's head coach will manage their team's program and communicate with their team's members. All coaches must have current coaching, SafeSport (or equivalent), and first aid/CPR certifications and must be registered members of the Richmond Road Runners Club. Programs will be conducted in accordance with CDC, state, and local guidance and requirements regarding the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.
The cross country program is open to youth ages 11-19. Registration is FREE, but the parent/guardian of each youth must accept the registration waiver.
FOR RUNNERS AND COACHES, YOUR REGISTRATION IS ONLY AN INDICATION OF INTEREST.
RRRC will contact you to share available options.
