Event Description
Who is ready to get back to live racing?! Come out and join us for The 1st Annual Monkey Bar Runapalooza benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Ohio! The races (Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5k) will start at the Monkey Bar in Maineville and will be run along the Little Miami Trail as an out and back loop finishing back at the Monkey Bar. Food trucks, live music, and ice cold beverages will be awaiting all of the finishers at the Monkey Bar!
The race will be a limited entrant event and will utilize different starting waves, only if absolutely necessary, to help follow recommended distancing guidelines. We are currently in the process of trying to get the course BQ certified. For those of you familiar with the Little Miami Trail, you know that it is flat and FAST!
100% of the net proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati. For those of you not familiar with this great organization, I encourage you to check out their website and learn more about them and the exceptional work they do (https://www.rmhcincinnati.org/our-stories/). They are an incredible resource for children and their families going through very difficult situations at Children’s. In addition to participating, if you are able and willing, please consider donating additional funds to Ronald McDonald House via https://rmhcincinnati.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.team&teamID=5006.

At this stage of the year, if you are signing up for the race, you are doing so with an understanding of the potential COVID-19 risks associated with doing so. Obviously if the entire race needs to be cancelled, refunds will be issued. However, based on our conversations with local government officials, the limited size of the event, and our partnership with a race management company who has managed small, in-person races this year without issues, we are confident this race will happen in a safe, fun way!
