Event Description

Run, walk or bike the length of Colorado from the “Welcome to Colorful Colorado” sign on I-25 near Wyoming to the sign near the New Mexico border

The Challenge

The state of Colorado stretches 305 miles from the “Welcome to Colorful Colorado” sign on Interstate 25 near the Wyoming border in the north to the sign at the New Mexico border in the south. How many weeks will it take you to cover that distance? Take as long as you want, starting this summer. Do it solo or with a team. This challenge should provide you an excellent test of fitness and a chance to plan to increase your training no matter how many miles you exercise weekly. Hopefully racing returns by the time you are done and you are in the best shape of your life – Colorado Strong!

How It Works

Most importantly, have fun! You can run, walk or bike anywhere you want, whenever you want. Go outside or on a treadmill or trainer. Average 2 miles a day, 5 miles a day or 25 miles a day – there are no set requirements. Count all of your miles during the day on your Fitbit, track your intentional miles on your Garmin, use a notepad or Strava or Runkeeper  –  it’s up to you! You can submit your miles through our online tracker, but it is not required. It’s on the honor system. We trust you.

What You Get and What It Costs

For $60, you will receive an awesome finisher’s medal that doubles as a belt buckle, a fantastic “Welcome to Colorful Colorado” hat, and a neck gaiter. Check out the designs in the photos. For an additional $25, you can add on a gender specific long sleeve hooded shirt. We will ship those items starting in early July. Shipping is included in the price.

The Cause

A portion of the entry fee will be donated to the Colorado COVID-19 relief fund. The Colorado COVID Relief Fund is hosted by the State of Colorado and Mile High United Way. The fund will be overseen by a committee of community leaders from across Colorado and will be providing aid to support Colorado communities and organizations affected by the recent outbreak of COVID-19. Funds will provide flexible resources to organizations in our state working with communities who are disproportionately impacted by the outbreak.
