The LCSO K9 Unit Virtual 5K Dog Run/Walk is combining both of our favorite things: Dogs & Running/Walking!
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit (LCSO K9 Unit) is primarily funded by donations. Due to the recent COVID-19 situation, it has been a little more challenging for the LCSO K9 Unit to receive necessary funds to operate and afford veterinary bills, training, equipment, etc. Every year the LCSO K9 Unit holds a Annual Motorcycle Ride to raise funds. Unfortunately, the Motorcycle Ride has been cancelled this year. In place of the Motorcycle Ride, we are holding a two week Virtual 5K Run/Dog Walk. This Virtual 5K/Dog Run will start on Monday June 1st, and it will extend until Tuesday, June 30th. This will give you the opportunity to complete it at your own pace, on your own time. Did you say walk?! Run it or walk it. Take your dog for a run or walk too! Your pup will sure enjoy this time out.
Early registration starts on Monday May 4th, at 12:00PM, through Sunday, May 31st 2020, at 11:59PM.
$35 Registration Includes:
- Registration
- LCSO K9 Virtual 5K Run/Dog Walk T-Shirt
- Wristband
Registration after May 31st, 2020 is $45. You will get a wristband and a certificate of completion. You are not guaranteed a T-Shirt after June 14th.
To Join:
- Register for the Run/Walk
- Complete a 5K (3.1 Miles) Run/Walk anytime between June 1st, and June 30th. (Keeping in mind proper social distancing protocols)
- Send us your results by posting on Facebook, and tagging K9 Love
