Event Description

Please read all the following information before registering:

The Event

• The 31st Annual The River To Sea Bike Ride will take place May 2, 2020. This is a 20-mile bike ride along the historic route of the Wilmington Beach Car Line. All age groups and experienced levels of cyclists may participate in this ride but must be able to ride 20 miles at a casual pace. All cyclists must wear a helmet. 
• Check in will take place from 5:45 to 6:30 am. Cyclists will depart at 7:00 am from downtown at Front Street and Market Street and arrive at Wrightsville Beach Park close to 8:15. There is a 15-20 minute break at Wrightsville Beach Park before beginning the second half of the ride back downtown. At the park, participants can use the restroom and grab provided snacks. The ride will take about 3 hours in total.

Registration 

• ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 450 PARTICIPANTS.
• There will be a $5.00 cash-only fee to register the morning of the event. 
• Please only register if you are going to attend.
• EACH PARTICIPANT MUST REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY. Do not register in pairs or groups.
• T-shirts will only be available for sale online until April 5th. Shirts must be ordered with enough time to be made and delivered before May 2nd. 

Before the Event

• Each bicyclist should perform a through safety inspection of their bicycle and take a test ride prior to the day of the ride. There will be no mechanics present on May 2nd. 
• Please know the downtown Wilmington parking locations and fees before arriving.
