Event Description

Come to the 15th Annual Dawg Jog presented by the Pre-Vet Club at UGA.  The coures is on the paved fitness trail at Sandy Creek Nature Center in Athens, GA.

Participants are invited to bring their dogs to walk/run with them as long as the animals are vaccinated, leashed, non-aggressive, and in good physical condition.  Please clean up after your pets.

Event details and schedule

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 8AM

5K: Starts at 9AM

Awards:  Following the 5K. awards for overall male/female, Overall Male/Female with dog, and Top Males/Females according to different age groups.

Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 3/16/20.  Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size.  There will be plenty of refreshments.  Group warm up at 8:30AM.

Timing and Results:  Finish Line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, and www.athlinks.com

Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2020 Black Bag Race Series.

Proceeds to benefit the GRACE Fund: The G.R.A.C.E fund was established to give financial assistance to clients for medical procedures on dogs at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching hospital

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
