Join all of Big Blue Nation for a 4 Miler that finishes under the lights on Kroger Field!
Come run or walk in the 3rd Annual GO BIG BLUE 4 MILER presented by Kroger Simple Truth on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 7:30pm.
This unique 4 mile run/walk is the perfect experience for every UK sports fan young and old. Our race starts outside Gate 12 of Kroger Field and finishes on the playing field. Your 4 mile journey through south campus will take you through 7 athletic fields including soccer, softball, baseball and track.
Our race features a commemorative t-shirt, finishers medal, music piped into the various sports complexes and a tailgate celebration featuring the Wildcat Mascot, UK Cheerleaders and more! Please note the course will not support strollers or pets. Bring the whole family as we have a 1.35 mile fun run/walk (untimed) and a Junior Wildcat Club Kids Race (1/2 mile) which starts at 7pm and also finishes on the field and plenty of room in the stands at Kroger Field for spectators to take it all in.
PACKET PICKUP DETAILS
Our packet pickup will be Friday, August 16th from 3:00-7:00pm at the Kroger on Euclid/Chevy Chase (Address: 704 Euclid Ave, Lexington, KY 40502). We'll be setup in the front entrance (near the produce section and Starbucks). There will also be race day packet pickup near Gate 12 at Kroger Field from 6-7:30pm. Local runners/walkers are encouraged to pickup on Friday to make for a smooth and pleasant race day experience. You may pickup for family/friends with no identification or credentials required.
ALL FINISHERS OF THE 3 RACES WILL EARN A FINISHER'S MEDAL
VIRTUAL RUNNER/WALKER OPPORTUNITY So you can't join us in Lexington on August 17th? Consider supporting our cause as a VIRTUAL RUNNER/WALKER. For $30 we'll ship you your commemorative T-shirt and medal and you can run/walk (If you wish) your own Go Big Blue run/walk on your own schedule in your own hometown.
