Event Description
The Forest Challenge is run at altitudes above 9000'. Mt. Charleston is truly an oasis in the middle of the Mojave Desert, and is arguably one of the prettiest spots in the desert southwest. Although oxygen is at a premium on the mountain, and you may be doing some huffing and puffing, the scent of the bristlecone pines in the cool, clean alpine air will make you happy to have chosen to escape the blistering heat on the valley's floor.
