Event Description

Our Surf Sun Run 5K features an out-and-back course that passes by the beautiful Buena Vista Lagoon and starts and finishes at The Shoppes at Carlsbad, the same location as the Carlsbad full and half marathon. Entry includes a long-sleeve technical fabric race shirt, souvenir cinch bag, gorgeous medal, personalized bib number, complimentary beer in the Ballast Point Beer Garden, and much more! It is the first race of the SoCal 3x5, a trio of 5K's including the Carlsbad Surf Sun Run in January, the La Jolla Shores 5K in April and America's Finest City 5K in August. Those who complete the series receive a gorgeous medal at the third and final race of the series.
