Event Description
The Napa Valley Marathon is a scenic tour of this world renown wine region beginning in Calistoga and finishing in Napa. The race is host to a net downhill course (and a popular Boston qualifier) with rolling hills and sweeping views. Following the Silverado Trail for 23 miles before turning and heading into North Napa, each runner will enjoy passing through seven wine appellations. If you are interested in more than a race, the Napa Valley is perfect for a getaway weekend. The valley is famous for its wineries and many other attractions, including spas and mud baths, hot air balloon flights, the Napa Valley Wine Train, quaint shops, world-class restaurants, and relaxing sightseeing. The Napa Valley is conveniently close to the Sacramento, San Francisco, and Oakland airports, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, and the historic Sonoma Valley of the Moon, made famous in the writings of Jack London.
