Event Description
National Moon Day is July 20th, the day man first walked on the moon. To celebrate we are holding a Full Moon Challenge in honor of each full moon of the year. And you will get an awesome 4 inch Full Moon Challenge Medal!
When: Complete your race any time between July 1 and July 31, 2016, even better complete it on the night of the full moon, July 19th, or on National Moon Day, July 20th.
Where: You choose the course and you time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us).
What: There are twelve full moons each year so you will run (or walk) twelve miles or twelve kilometers. It's up to you. You can do it all at once, or break it into increments, as long as you complete all twelve miles or kilometers in the month of July.
Why: Because we want as many people as we can get to celebrate the Full Moon!
Cost: $23. Includes custom medal and bib that will be shipped directly to you. Plus, at least 20% of every entry (typically about $5) will be donated to the GirlVentures who's mission is to empower adolescent girls to develop and express their strengths. *We are in no way affiliated with this charity, we like to choose a different charity for each of our races and are happy to raise funds for them.
