Leukemia is the second leading cause of cancer death of children and young adults under the age of twenty.
Nearly 1.2 million Americans are living with, or in remission from a blood cancer.
How Your Dollars Are Used: To date, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has invested over $1.7 billion to advance cancer therapies and save lives. We will continue to support research through our innovative and integrated funding programs, until every patient has a safe and effective therapy. Currently, LLS has created a bold and urgent $175 million capital campaign to transform the treatment and care for children. They are daring to prioritize cutting-edge research, including the first ever pediatric acute leukemia Master Clinical Trial. LLS is daring to improve the quality of life for every child with blood cancer!
