Event Description
The Great Potato Race is a family-friendly, laugh-filled event where participants tackle a one-mile(ish) loop filled with potato-themed obstacles. The fun begins and ends with a 25 yard potato sack race, challenging runners to hop their way to victory. Along the route, you’ll encounter exciting spud-inspired stations, including:
🥔 Foil Wrap – Race to wrap your arms in foil like a baked potato.
🥔 Potato Dodge – Dodge your way from Point A to Point B without getting hit by a flying foam potato. Get hit, return to Point A and try again.
🥔 Spud on a Spoon – Grab a spoon and a spud and race from Point A to Point B. Drop your potato and suffer the consequences (return to Point A and try again)!
🥔 Tater Tot Hop – Leap from one “tater tot” (tire) to the next! This obstacle plays just like The Floor is Lava. Touch the grass between a tire and suffer the consequences (return to Point A and try again)!
🥔 Get Baked! – Run through the "oven" (an inflatable tunnel), and you're just a hop, skip and a jump away from the final leg (25 yard potato sack sprint) of the race!
After the race, stick around for the Potato Days festivities! Head over to the Potato Kitchen and grab a loaded baked potato, fries, tots, or chips along with an ice cold beverage (beer, seltzer, or soda). Check out the Trading Post with over 50 vendors boasting local goods and goodies. Snag a pic in front of the Big Idaho Potato Truck. Grab a bubble wand and blow bubbles right from a horse trough!
Sign up today and get ready to run, hop, and laugh your way through this spud-tacular adventure!
