2025 ADK Garda Brewery Tour (AKA VBC Century Ride) - Money raised will be donated to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Those of you who have done this ride before, know what a great time it is. Well, Bob and I have switched things up a bit this year. We decided since there are a number of great local breweries in our area that we would do a tour of them. Besides biking and breweries just kinda go together.
We also decided instead of a cycling jersey we would give you a moisture wicking golf shirt commemorating the event. Besides you probably already have enough cycling jerseys that sit in a bin or a closet.
In order to be guaranteed your shirt and size, you MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE JUNE 10th, 2025. Those who register after June 10th, can not be guaranteed a shirt or their size. This is a charity event so we can not afford to order too many extra shirts. PLEASE register prior to June 10th.
I have blocked 10 rooms at the Best Western in Plattsburgh for July 11th and 12th, under the VBC Ride. The rate will be $129.99+taxes. The rooms need to be booked by June 10th. Any rooms not taken by that date will be placed back into the hotels pool of availability. The local phone number to make the reservation is 518-561-7750 ext 9.
On a side note, for those who have done this ride before. The route WILL BE different, so don’t think you know it.

Event details and schedule
Dates - July 12th & 13th - 2025
Where - 49 Ohio Ave (Valcour Brewing Company)
Start time - 10:00am both days - this will give the businesses time to open
Saturday July 12th - Metric Century
Our day will start at 10:00am at Valcour Brewing Company. Where we will ride to Livations liquor store in Peru, for our first rest stop and a small sampling from one of our great sponsors. The next stop will be Ausable Brewing in Keeseville NY. This out of the way homestead style brewery was started by 2 brothers, Dan and Dylan, who make some great beers. There will also be a food truck at this stop. Our third stop will be Livingoods in Peru, NY. Here riders can stretch their legs a bit, get some food and sample some other quality craft beers. The last two stops are no strangers to the ride, and are in very close proximity to each other, Oval Brewing and Valcour Brewing. Jesse at Oval Brewing has some quality beers on tap, and a nice patio area to rest and relax for the 200 yard ride to the finish at Valcour Brewing. At the finish Bob and Bruce will have a couple of kegs on tap from Valcour Brewing for you to celebrate the ride and reconnect with friends.
Sunday July 13th - Metric Century (and a little more)
Our day will start at 10:00am at Valcour Brewing where we will ride to Jason’s house on the Lake Shore Rd. There Bob and Bruce will have some selections for you to sample from other fine NY/VT breweries. The ride will continue on into Rouses Point NY and then cross over Lake Champlain into VT. This years rest stop will be at Kraemer & Kin Brewery located at the Alburgh Golf Course. Riders will continue on to the Hero’s Welcome in North Hero VT for a great lunch. The next stop will be at the Two Hero’s Brewery in South Hero VT. After this stop it is off to the ferry to cross Lake Champlain once again, and head back to Oval Brewing and finish at Valcour Brewing.
