Bring out your inner Superpowers for Swim 4 Braxton's
3rd Annual Spectacular Super B-Dog 5K/10K Race
on Saturday, April 27, 2025.
This race is being held in honor of Braxton Ackerman,
a 4-year-old little superhero who lost his life, 3 days after
his 4th birthday, in March 2022
due to a water related accident at his home.
Super Hero attire (capes, masks, shields, etc.) is HIGHLY encouraged!!
All proceeds go to Swim 4 Braxton. Our goal is to raise awareness on water safety and prevent drownings through education. We are asking for your help by attending our walk or race or even by donating. All race profits go towards funding swimming lessons for kids, pool fence/barrier installation, and other drowning prevention tools.
Surprisingly, 58% of parents report that they don’t consider drowning a risk to their children, yet statistics show that a swimming pool is 14 times more likely to be involved in the death of a child, aged 1 — 4 years old, than a motor vehicle. In fact, while most parents worry about things like a hot stove, iron, sharp objects, a fall from tall surfaces, perhaps animals, or even a loaded gun in the house, the most dangerous thing is something that is always around us in some way: water. And the worst part is that we don’t tend to think much about this. But whether it be the toilet, sink, pool, bathtub, a puddle outside, a pot or pan, there is a constant need to protect your child from becoming a victim. To register by mail please complete and return our Mail-in Registration Form! Please make checks payable to StartLine Racing.
Can't make it to this year's event but still want to participate? We are excited to announce our Super-B Dog Water Safety Virtual Race. A virtual race is a race that can be ran at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can run your race at your pace wherever you like. All virtual race participants will receive a custom event finisher's medal and custom event t-shirt. All you have to do is register above! Please note - your virtual packet will be mailed out the week following the event.
Virtual Registrations are restricted to US addresses only. If you reside outside of the US and wish to participate please contact StartLine Racing at info@startlineracing.com

Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups in the 10K and 5K distances. Our age groups are the following:
- 8 & Under, 9 & 10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over
Additional awards presented to the Largest Team, Best Adult Costume and Best Child Costume.
Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)
Chip Timed with Real Time Results and Photos on our Website or Mobile App (on Apple and Google)
Event managed by StartLine Racing. Club SLR discounts do not apply.
Please note any race related items (shirts, medals, etc.) will NOT be mailed to those that do not attend.
Race Day Information
- Race Day Check In will be available beginning at 6:30am at Kiwanis Park - South Entrance (race location).
- We accept cash, or credit card on race day (Checks are no longer accepted)
- Cost of registration on race day will be:
- 10K - $50
- 5K - $40
- 1M - $30
- Kids Dash - $20
- No roller blades/skates, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.
- Leashed pet friendly
- Due to the common start/finish line, there is no bag check for this event.
- This event will take place rain or shine. There are no refunds for due to weather.
- Multiple food trucks will be on site supporting this event! Rollin' Dough and Sweet Drizzle Delights will have breakfast options available and will be giving a portion of the proceeds back to Swim 4 Braxton.
Packet Pick-up Opportunities
Packet Pick-up is available on Saturday, April 26th from 2-5pm at TBD
You can also pickup your packet starting at 6:30am on race day.
