Event Description

Join us for a powerful and impactful virtual 5K to raise funds for survivors of military sexual assault. This event aims to provide vital resources, support, and advocacy for those affected by these experiences. Whether you run, walk, or jog, your participation will help foster a community of empowerment for survivors. By registering, you’ll be part of a nationwide movement that honors the strength and resilience of those who have served while helping to bring awareness to the ongoing fight for justice and healing. Together, we can make a difference—one step at a time.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month which means you can finish the 5K on your day of choosing the entire month.  We will set up a few local 5Ks with the Safe Waters founding members in various parts of the country so stay tuned for information on how you can meet our team!

Our fundraising goal for the month of April is $5,000.  Registration is $30 but additional donations are welcome.  Donors at the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels will receive a special gift from our team!

Safe Waters is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and empowering space for Coast Guard members who have experienced sexual assault and harassment within the Service. Our mission is to foster healing, promote resilience, bolster prevention, and create a community where survivors are empowered to share their experiences and find solidarity.

Thank you for your continued support!
