Event Description
Skagit Bicycle Club's 33rd annual Skagit Spring Classic Bicycle Ride is back better than ever. Starting from Bayview Elementary routes from 25 to 100 miles will include the flat roads in the Skagit Valley and for the longer distances more challenging routes that climb Chuckanut Drive with beautiful views of the Salish Sea, Mount Baker and towering evergreens.
Riders of all levels are welcome to participate, including ebikes.
The ride is fully supported with a well marked course, SAG vehicles and rest stops sumptuously stocked with homemade cookies, water, Hammer Heed and lots of other goodies. All participants will receive a beautiful pair of custom made Skagit Spring Classic socks (new design and colors). After the ride participants will be provided a hot spaghetti dinner and a coupon for a free beverage from Farmstrong Brewing Company.
Event details and schedule
- Registration starts at 7 am.
- Everything will be shut down by 4 pm so plan to complete your chosen route within this time frame.
- There is plenty of free parking.
- Rest rooms available at the start/finish and at all rest stops.
- Showers available at the start/finish for participants to clean up after the ride.
- Each rider will receive a pair of custom made Skagit Spring Classic socks.
- A free, hot, delicious spaghetti dinner will be available after the ride.
- If you want to enjoy a beverage before heading home a coupon for Farmstrong Brewing Company will be available after the ride.
Course maps will be available at the start or you can download them here. We encourage everyone to download a copy of the map and bring it with you. Check the Skagit Bike Club website a week before the ride to ensure you have the correct route. All routes will be well marked on the pavement the day of the ride.
Bring a bike in good working order, although there will be a mechanic on duty at the start for last minute emergencies. Make sure you a have good fitting, proper bicycle helmet. SAG vehicles will patrol the routes until 4 pm but barring an accident or illness, plan on finishing your chosen route under your own power.
