Start your year out right training for Spring, Summer and Fall races.
This is a 10 week group training program, built to get you ready for any kind of terrain. The group aspect allows you to get a professional plan at a fantastic price! Your registration includes a:
- Training plan wrote by Coach Loretta Tobelske-Horn of Ornery Mule Coaching
- Training plan for daily mileage goals
- Strength training schedule that will prepare you for any kind of terrain
- Trail Running University hoody
- Finisher stickers & fun swag gifts mailed to you
- Multiple distance options. There is a plan for any level runner or walker
- You can set Vert Challenges for yourself!
- This training challenge counts towards the Run Your Ass Off Buckle

How to choose a distance:
The plans will get you to the required distance you chose:
● If you are just starting or not yet running or walking- 100 mile plan
● If you are running between 10 to 15 miles a week- 200 mile plan
● If you are running between 16 to 25 miles a week- 300 mile plan
● If you are running between 26 to 30 miles a week- 400 mile plan
● If you are running between 31 to 40 miles a week- 500 mile plan
Detailed description of training
● Develop or build on endurance
● Develop or build on aerobic fitness
● Develop or build on cardiovascular and muscle endurance
● Develop or build on strength
● Building or rebuilding a foundation
The plan is laid out in a few phases:
● Mileage Base Phase
● Workout Base Phase
○ Building leg speed and form (strides)
○ Maximizing aerobic efficiency (steady state runs)
○ Testing your aerobic capacity (time trials)
○ Mental strength (building the long run, steady state and time trials)
The plan is designed for a steady progression to keep you injury free and get you ready for your next training phase! The plan is optional for you to use. You can just choose a distance and follow your own plan too!
