Event Description
We invite student-athletes from 6th grade - 12th grade to experience an immersive camp dedicated to running education and growth hosted by Fitness Sports in Clive, IA! Get prepared for the 2025 Track & Field season with a foundational build and new skills to maximize their abilities and prevent injuries!
Camp Dates & Times:
Monday January 27th: 4-6pm
Tuesday January 28th: 4-6pm
Wednesday January 29th: 4-6pm
Thursday January 30th: 4-6pm
Friday January 31st: 4-6pm
Saturday February 1st: 8:00-10:00am
What students will experience:
Education on proper warmup drills for running
20-30 minute run each day
Mobility and flexibility (Monday)
Nutrition planning featuring sports dietician Ellen Davis, who specializes in runner fuel (Tuesday))
Runner-specific strength training for injury prevention, featuring Isaiah Wittrock, NAIA National Champion in the 1500 (Wednesday)
Core strength and breathing techniques (Thursday)
Running form work and proper gear for maximum efficiency (Friday)
Goal Setting and inspiration featuring 2012 Olympian in the 10,000m Lisa Uhl! (Saturday)
All registrants will get a fun gear package with awesome running gear items to use during the upcoming season! Registrants have the option to add a shirt for an additional $10 at checkout.
