Event Description
Who?
In 1994, this event was founded by PaceSetters Running Club of the Fox Cities. Over the past 30 years; participants donated thousands of pounds of non-perishable food in the collection barrels before and at the start of the race. Last year over $9,000 was raised, making the 30-year total over $119,000. All proceeds are given to St. Joseph Food Program for Fighting Hunger, Sustaining Hope!
What?
A 5K/10K Fun Run/Walk that will be promoted to all levels of runners and walkers. It will occur in the early part of October when participants can enjoy the fall colors and weather!
Where?
The 2025 St. Joes 5K/10K Run/Walk will take place at St. Joseph Food Program, 1465 Opportunity Way, Menasha, WI, 54952. Both the start and finish will take place on the road close to the Food Program.
When?
October 5, 2024, the event will begin early in the morning to avoid excessive traffic and is thus an ideal time for participants to compete. Registration and packet pick-up will be the day before the event and in the morning before the event.
Why?
Beneficiary: St. Joseph Food Program
All race proceeds are given to St. Joseph Food Program, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The race theme is “Outpacing Hunger”. Since 1982, St. Joseph Food Program has helped feed tens of thousands of families and individuals here in the Fox Valley that are facing food insecurity as well as other nonprofits through their outreach services. Food and meal programs support twenty-four area agencies, along with providing food for the weekend to 1,500 students each week across nine area school districts. The 2023 year-end report highlights that 9,372 individuals were provided with 3,315,083 pounds of food, a value of $6,694,745…all free of charge.
