Event Description

Hialeah-Miami Springs Rotary Club presents Dashing thru the Springs, a 5K run/walk through our beautiful City of Miami Springs. The race will start and end at the Historic Curtiss Mansion after a run/walk through our beautiful tree-lined streets and historic golf course. Race Start Time is 7:30 a.m.

The proceeds will go to the Rotary Club Foundation. Rotary Club is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Our club was chartered on April 22, 1952, and since that time we have been one of the most continuously active clubs in District 6990 (South Florida and the Bahamas). Our club has continually provided services for our community, state, nation, and many countries. From granting scholarships to local college-bound high school seniors via the Alex Bromir Scholarship Fund to funding and installing wheelchair ramps for seniors. The Rotary Club is a local 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

The 1st Annual Dashing thru the Springs 5k run/walk is a family-friendly event and the perfect opportunity to stay active and engaged while supporting the Rotary Club and all its community projects. The race will take place in the Historic Curtiss Mansion, founded by Glenn Curtiss, the father of Naval Aviation, and a seminal force in the development of South Florida and its history. The race will be timed by AccuChip.

The first 200 registered participants will receive a race t-shirt and a goodie bag!
