Event Description

Five hours of trail racing in Franke Park!

Assemble your crew of riders or runners and hit the Franke Park Trails for five hours of competitive fun or you can compete as a solo participant and finish as many laps as you can in the five hour time limit. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Runners follow a three mile loop in the east side of Franke Park. 

• Riders follow a five mile loop on the west side of Franke Park.

• Each team will have a participant with the chip timer on the trails at all times during the race.

• After each lap, team members exchange the chip timer baton in the Exchange Zone and check with the Lap Tracker to record the lap. 

• All laps must be completed within the five hour time limit.

• Teams and solo participants will have the opportunity to setup a home base near the Exchange Zone.

• The Exchange Zone is located near Pond pavilion.

• Solo participants will wear a race bib.

• No aid stations on the course. Food and drink will be available near the Exchange Zone for participants.

• There will be a timing mat at the start/finish line near the Pond pavilion..  

• Riders and runners will share the timing mat and complete many full laps as they can in the five hour time limit. 

• No credit will be given for incomplete laps!

• The team or solo participant that completes the highest number of full laps will be declared the category winner.

• In the event of a tie, the team or solo participant that completes the fastest first lap will be declared the category winner.

• Teams will be able to set up camp and near the Exchange Zone at Pond pavilion.

• Lunch will be provided for registered competitors and Crew/Spectators in Pond pavilion. 
  

• Team Captains will be able to add and remove team members up to the day of the event.

• Endurance athletes of all levels are welcome to participate!

Riders must wear a bicycle helmet!

We also recommend safety glasses for riders.

Friday, September 12th

• 5:00PM-7:00PM-Packet Pickup at the Pond pavilion in Franke Park

Saturday, September 13th

• 7:30AM-8:45AM-Check-in at the Duck Pond Pavilion

• 8:45AM-9:00AM-Last minute race info/instructions

• 9:00AM-2:00PM- Dirty Fox Challenge

• 2:30PM-3:00PM- Awards at the Duck Pond pavilion

• Top MTB Solo Female

• Top MTB Solo Male Rider 

• Top Running Team

• Top Solo Male Wheelchair

Funds raised will be donated to Summit City Singletrack. SCS is responsible for the trail maintenance and trail projects in the Franke Park trail network
