Event Description
We will meet ideally at Washington-Liberty high school track, but with fall sports on, that may not be possible every week. I will notify everyone of the location no later than Sunday afternoon before a Monday session. Two other locations will be utilized if/when the track is not available: Bon Air Park and Oak Grove Park.
There will be five practice sessions (drills, laps, practice races, etc.) and one final race day. All kids who finish the program will receive a Flash medal and water bottle.
Schedule:
Mondays from 5:30-6:30pm.
September 16th, September 23th, September 30th, October 7th, October 21st, and final race day on October 28th (skipping Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day)
Each session may include: proper warm up technique, basic strength moves, running drills, form work, sprint repeats, endurance laps, and/or practice races. I'm not setting any age restrictions, but please make sure your child/children know(s) this will be work, not just play!
