Event Description

Herndon Parks and Recreation is hosting the annual Turkey Trot 5K at the Herndon Community Center.  The race will begin at 4:00pm on November 23.  Packet pick-up and race day registration ($45 for adults 21 & up, $30 for youth 20 & under) will run from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, November 22. Packet pick-up and race day registration ($45 for adults 21 & up, $30 for youth 20 & under) will also run from 1:30pm-3:30pm on Saturday, November 23.  Long sleeve race T-shirts guaranteed to the first 350 pre-registered runners.  T-shirts must be picked up the day of the race.  Shirts will not be available after race day.

Awards for top three male/female finishers AND best individual and group costumes. Costume winners judged before the race at 3:40pm. 

Registration forms will be available online and at the Herndon Community Center in late September.  Online registration is available at herndon-va.gov and active.com and ends at 12:00pm on Friday, November 22.

Pre-registration:

Adults - (Age 21 & Over) $40 and a can of food for donation

Youth - (Age 20 & Under) $25 and a can of food for donation

Race Day Registration:

Adults - (Age 21 & Over) $45 and a can of food for donation

Youth - (Age 20 & Under) $30 and a can of food for donation

**Please note that race day registration prices apply to both the Friday and Saturday packet pick up/registration times.

All food will be donated to LINK.

Strollers, bikes and dogs are not permitted in the race.

All runners must finish 5K in 45 minutes.

Event details and schedule

Please arrive early as our parking lot fills at the Herndon Community Center (814 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon, VA 20170).  The course is a mixture of trail and street running so please wear appropirate footwear.
