Event Description

Share your love of the outdoors and trail running with your kids at the Flash Fit Fall Family Retreat in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in early November! 

Our base camp will be Caroline Furnace Camp & Retreat Center, a spacious facility with several miles of beautiful, well-maintained trails, an on-site lake, camp fire stations, indoor space for arts & crafts, and ample field space for the kids to run around and play soccer, flag football, tag, etc.

Participants will arrive mid-afternoon on Friday the 1st, and the retreat will wrap up midday Sunday the 3rd. We'll do several trail runs/walks/hikes each day, and kids will get a short course on trail safety and running form. There is a team-building course on-site that the kids will complete on Saturday, in addition to some good old-fashioned s'mores and free time to burn off that energy!

Accommodation will be the Farmhouse, which is rustic but comfortable and recently renovated. There is a living room with a fireplace, a separate dining room, a large eat-in kitchen, and a screened porch. Wi-Fi is provided, though parents can use this at their discretion! There are six bedrooms downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. There are four shared bathrooms in the house. Rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents and children may be placed in separate rooms, depending on availability. 

All registrations include accommodation for 2 nights and all food/beverages. Dinner will be provided by Caroline Furnace in a separate dining area a short walk from the Farmhouse, and Kate will stock the Farmhouse kitchen with enough food and drinks for two breakfasts, 1-2 lunches, and plenty of snacks.

Full itinerary will be sent to all participants in October.

$325 per person OR $1200 for 4 people
