A Leap of Faith – Jaylen's Race for a Cure is a 5K fun run in support of an amazing woman and her family. It’s the opportunity for South Central Kansas to leap forward as a community and provide the Meyer family the love and support they need NOW!

In August of 2023, Jaylen Meyer, beloved wife of Nick and mom to four young kids, was diagnosed with aggressive stomach cancer – gastric adenocarcinoma. Initially she was diagnosed stage 3 but upon further testing the cancer was found to have metastasized outside of her stomach and the diagnosis changed to stage 4.  Jaylen sought treatment from the best professionals here and even travelled to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas for treatment. Unfortunately, traditional medical treatments have been ineffective.  
 
But Jaylen isn’t ready to give up! Motivated by her love of family, she is fighting to be here with her precious kids. Nick and Jaylen have discovered alternative interventions that have shown promising results – even cures – where traditional medicine said there was no hope. Committed to her family, Jaylen is taking the leap of faith to fight again. However, these alternative treatments will not be covered by insurance.   And that’s where the Meyer family needs YOU!
 
A Leap of Faith – Jaylen's Race for a Cure, a 5K fun run will rally the community to cover treatment costs. Every dollar raised will go toward giving Jaylen the support she needs to fight her battle. Let’s show Jaylen and the whole Meyer family how far a leap of faith can take them!
