Sunday, November 17, 2024 8:00AM – 5:00PM Central time
Instructors will incorporate a 5-minute break every 60 minutes or so. There will be a 45-minute lunch break at approximately 12PM.

The Session will be a mixture of lecture, seminar-style conversation, individual work, and small group exercises, including presentations and role play. Before the Session, you will be asked to register for and complete a Level II online module as preparation. Day One will include a review of coaching theory and practice, and cover two case studies. Day Two will cover a third case study and focus on developing training plans and role play based on coaching needs in the group.

Online Session Overview: The Session will be team taught by RRCA coaching education instructors. Registration is limited to 35 participants to encourage a positive, interactive learning experience. Full attendance and participation is required during the Session in order to complete the certification process. While every cohort receives the same curriculum, every cohort has a different dynamic, so the schedule may be modified to suit the specific needs of participants.

FedEx will ship the hard-copy course book directly to the U.S. mailing address listed in a participant's registration at no additional charge the week before the Session. *The address you enter during registration must be able to accept FedEx shipments.* International participants will be assessed an additional fee to cover shipping costs and will be contacted individually by email to discuss.

Session participants will receive multiple pre-course emails from our Director of Coaching Education, Randy Accetta, with important information and reminders. Please read these emails!

Instructors will email a link to participants to join the Zoom classroom several days before the Session takes place. Session participants will need a computer, tablet, or phone with video and audio capabilities on a reliable internet connection. Participants should set up in a quiet space to avoid distractions and disruptions from others. Instructors will use both the audio and video functions, and will use the screen share feature to display the course slides. There will be opportunities for both written and spoken discussion and Q&A during the course. There will be small-group work on program development in breakout Zoom rooms. Instructors will take attendance at various points during both Session days. The Zoom Session may be recorded for the RRCA's use. A participant's Session registration and attendance indicates understanding and agreement that all photos and videos will become the property of the RRCA.

Prospective Level II coaches must be in Good Standing with current CPR and First Aid certifications on their RRCA profiles.

The post-Session exam will follow standard online exam protocols, in which participants are required to take the open-book exam without assistance from others. Prospective coaches will have 30 days after the course to complete the online exam. A score of 80/100 or better is required for certification.

Waitlist Procedure: If a Session has reached capacity, a prospective participant may register for that Session's waitlist by filling out the Waitlist form. The prospective participant will receive an email if a space becomes available, and will have 24 hours to complete the online registration process before the space is offered to the next person on the waitlist.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Participants may request withdrawal from a Session and a partial refund (Session fee - $50 cancellation fee) up to 14 days before the course date. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals requested less than two weeks before a Session. Email coaching@rrca.org to submit a cancellation request.

Participants MAY NOT sell or give their spot to another person if they cannot attend the Session. Session transfers are not permitted. A participant must first request withdrawal from the original Session, then re-register for the new Session, if space permits.

Level II Coaching Certification Program Overview

Prerequisites: A coach considering enrollment in the Level II Coaching Certification program must be a RRCA Level I Certified Coach for at least 12 months. Coaches may start Level II work prior to the 12-month mark but won’t be fully certified until 12 months following their Level I certification date.

Coaches must be 18 years of age or older with no less than a high school diploma.

Coaches must submit proof of coaching experience in the form of a brief essay outlining experience and/or the URL of their coaching business as part of the registration process.

Methodology: The Level II Coaching Certification program is delivered in a combination of two formats, providing more than 24 hours of educational content:

  • A two-day in-person session followed by an online exam
  • A series of online modules with quizzes

Registration and Fees: The program enrollment fee is $25 for Level I Certified coaches that intend to pursue Level II certification. Based on demand, the RRCA may cap registrations each quarter in order to effectively manage the program. Enroll today!

Following enrollment, participants will follow a pay-as-you-go system for each online module, which cost between $25 and $30 based on each module's content and duration. The fee for the required Level II Session is $350. Participants may complete the online modules and Session in any order they wish.

The approximate total cost is $700 to complete all Level II certification requirements. The approximate cost accounts for pricing variances in module fees.

Level I certified coaches may participate in a Level II Session and/or complete Level II online modules for continuing education without the intent of pursuing Level II certification. However, they will not be able to use the Level II Certified Coach title.

For more information on the Level II program including descriptions of all online modules, visit the Certified Coaches Portal on RRCA.org.
