Event Description

The Great Hill Challenge is a kid-friendly obstacle course for kids ages 4 - 18 at Newtown Battlefield State Park. This race was specifically created for younger athletes to honor the Iroquois Nation, who were known as the Haudenosaunee, People of the Longhouse. Parents can and are encouraged to run with the athletes (especially if they are under the age of 8); however, please refrain from completing the obstacles.
There will be two options: 1 mile course and 2 mile course with age appropriate obstacles. *The race is not professionally timed* Each participant will receive a finisher's necklace.

WHEN: Saturday, August 17, 20 at 10:00 AM for the 1 mile and 10:30 AM for the 2 mile course
WHERE: Newton Battlefield State Park - Main Park Pavilion 1, 2346 County Route 60, Elmira NY 14901
PRE-REGISTRATON CLOSES: Friday, August 16th at 12:00 PM
RACE DAY REGISTRATION and BIB PICKUP: Saturday, August 17th starting at 9:30 AM  at Newtown Battlefield State Park
