Event Description

The Avondale Elementary School Foundation is thrilled to announce the Roadrunner Rally 5K and the Breit Mile fun run, happening on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. This USA Track and Field certified 5K event offers a fantastic opportunity for participants to qualify for Atlanta's renowned Peachtree Road Race and other prestigious races. The Breit Mile, held in honor of Coach Beth Breit, celebrates her legacy of inspiring countless students and community members to find joy in staying active. Join us for a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit as we come together to support Avondale Elementary School!

The 5K is a USATF Certified Course ( GA23060WC ). The 5K is an Official Peachtree Qualifier for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race. Route was measured from the right lane. Parking for Event: Use the Gospel Hope Church parking lots.  You can enter lots from Covington Road or enter from Stratford Road.  These parking lots are directly across Avondale Elementary School on Stratford Road.  Parking will not be available on school grounds. Roads on 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run Routes will be blocked, and should not be used for parking.
