Event Description

Come out to Fifth Street Cross every Thursday, September 5th - November 21st,  at the Emmaus Compost Center and run 5k. The 5k is 2x laps starting at 5:45pm.

Onsite registration opens at 5:00p.

About the Course

You run at the Emmaus Compost Center (it’s not a dump!) between the tape of the cyclocross course. The bike race started in 2005, even though you’ve never heard of it. But here you are reading this, so now you’ve heard of it, so let’s get to business. The course is twisty and turny and usually a lot slower than most people think any reasonable running course should be. For this reason, we believe it to be the best cross country race course in the history of Emmaus. You’re welcome.

What You Get Every Week

Free Beer! 2 per person limit. Food Truck slingin' meals. Free race photos. The best underground party in the Lehigh Valley.

Race Rules

  1. Don’t be a dick.
  2. 5th place is First.

  4. Call out your number every time you cross the finish line.
  5. We will make every reasonable attempt to provide accurate results.
  6. All results are final.
  7. Please inform finish line judges if you withdraw from the race.
  8. Don’t break the tape.
  9. Patronize our sponsors.
  10. If you get hurt, it’s your own fault.
  11. Sign a damn waiver
  12. You must check in with registration staff to be counted in the results.
  13. Seriously, don’t be a dick.

But wait there's more. Fifth Street Cross started as cyclocross bike race series and you can race bikes also! You can register here to run the 5k and then race your bike! Scoring for the run/ride will be based on your place in the run and first bike race (4xlap) only.

---Do you want to just race bikes?---

The first bike race is 4x laps and starts at 6:30pm. We take a break between each race to check your lights or figure out why you came here in the first place. The second race is three laps in the opposite direction. We keep score, but as long as you start the race, you’re winning!

Register for bike racing only on BIKEREG.COM

USA Cycling sanctions us as a “Fun Ride,” and we thank our governing body for its cheap insurance.
