Join us for the best Turkey Trot in the Coachella Valley! We have sold out for the last three years and this year plans to be a blockbuster event! Run or walk the 5K route through beautiful Downtown Palm Springs, CA. All participants receive a long sleeve event shirt, zany turkey hat, crazy Thanksgiving socks and a beautiful finisher medal. Age group medals awarded 3-deep! This event is runner, walker, stroller and doggie friendly!

About This Race
Make room for that extra piece of pie by completing the Palm Springs Wild Turkey Trot in iconic Palm Springs, California on Thanksgiving morning. This is a fast and flat certified course where world records are meant to be broken! Start and finish downtown, in perfect racing weather, on beautiful Palm Canyon.

All participants receive a long sleeved tech t-shirt, finisher medal, free finisher photo download and a wild turkey hat! In addition, this year, we will be giving all participants crazy Thanksgiving themed knee highs. A portion of your entry supports the Mizell Center's Meals on Wheels Program, providing food for homebound seniors as well as other important local causes. This race is brought to you by the Palm Springs Marathon Runners with a reputation of awesome themed races supporting local charities! Complete Southlands Events Palm Springs TRAMROAD CHALLENGE and our Palm Springs WILD TURKEY TROT 5K and receive a BONUS medal post race!

The Palm Springs TURKEY TROT 5K takes place on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 28th, 2024. The event will start at 8:00 am at the corner of Tahquitz & Palm Canyon, Palm Springs, CA 92262

Course Info
This 5K certified course is runner, walker, stroller and doggie friendly and starts and finishes in downtown Palm Springs on iconic Palm Canyon. Run through beautiful neighborhoods on this fast and flat course. Show your holiday spirit and run as a turkey, pilgrim or in another festive outfit. Keep an eye out for Santa Claus who will be there to welcome in the holiday season!
Packet Pickup
Location: Ruth Hardy Park parking lot at 700 Tamarisk Road, Palm Springs 92262
Dates: Tuesday, November 26th and Wednesday, November 27th, from 11AM - 4PM
Look for the Palm Springs Marathon Runners pop-up tent for pick-up.
Packet pick-up will also be available race morning, on site, at 100 S. Palm Canyon, Palm Springs, CA 92262 beginning at 6:30AM. Race begins promptly at 8AM.
Late registration will also be available at packet pick-up and race morning, if room allows. This race has sold out for the past three years and so we urge you to register early!
**Special EARLY BIRD packet pick-up on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, November 23, 24, 25 from Noon - 4pm for anyone who registers prior to November 20th.

Age group medals awarded 3 deep in 5 year age categories through 90+. Trophies for top 3 finishers male, female, challenged athletes, teams, strollers and 4-legged friends.

Race Day Parking
Off-site parking available in city parking structure located at 235 S. Indian Canyon Drive (intersection of Indian Canyon and Baristo) and on surrounding streets and businesses.
