Event Description
Midwest at its best with a new course and earlier date
Reebok Ragnar Chicago is back, and with a new course that might just make you flip out! This time around, we're reversing the course and running 200-ish miles from outside of Chicago to Madison. And what's even cooler? The weather when we start three weeks earlier than years past, on May 18-19, 2018!
This overnight, running challenge makes running a team-sport, relay-style and doesn't quit when the going gets tough. In fact, you and your team of 12 (or 6) runners go all day, all night, and all day again (!!!) until each member of your team runs their 3 (or 6) legs.
In 2018, we're flipping the course to make the challenge fresh, new, more scenic and perfect for those who want an extended weekend of fun. Starting outside of Chicago, you'll kick-off the journey and head North, where you'll speed along the fastest course in the series and chase the epic sunset over Lake Michigan (no filters needed). In the cool, spring night air—and under a billion stars—you'll head into the countryside on the Glacial Drumlin Trail, watch the sun come up and re-charge for second day of running as you zoom past picturesque red barns, happy cows, and pretty, quintessential Midwest scenery. Your whole team finishes together, tired, triumphant, and a bit punch-drunk, at the Ragnar finisher's party in Olin Park on Lake Monona in Madison. Your team medals, bragging rights, and endless memories await!
Don't miss the journey/party-on-wheels/challenge, happening on May 18-19, that will have you saying, "I can't believe we're doing this," and "When can we do this again?" in the same, tired breath!
NEW for 2018: Sign up during VIP or early registration periods and Ragnar will waive your volunteer requirement! That means Ragnar will provide three volunteers on behalf of your team. No promo code needed.
