The Memory Mile Wellness Challenge is a virtual event that helps raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day.

Over 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease, a brain disorder that causes a progressive decline in memory, thinking and learning. This number is staggering but there are ways to decrease your risk for the disease- one of these is being physically active. This challenge is to promote that healthy habit.
Research suggests, as little as 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity and 2 days of strength training may reduce the risk for developing Alzheimer’s by up to 50%. We will combine all the participants' cardio minutes along with their strength training minutes to try and reach 6 million minutes… representing the over 6 million people living with Alzheimer’s.
