Event Description
New Location-Port Charlotte Town Center
Did you know that November is Manatee Awareness month in Florida? The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) reminds boaters to slow down and look out below during this time, as manatees begin to travel to warmer water in the fall.
To help bring awareness to these gentle giants we are going to be hosting a 5K and 1 mile run or walk on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024. This race has been moved to the Port Charlotte Town Center due to the devastation from hurricane Milton.
For this race all participants will receive a manatee beach towel and commemorative manatee finishers medal. This race will be capped for participation and the Turtle Trot in April sold out two weeks prior to the race. If you plan to participate, please don't wait to the last minute to sign up!
