Event Description

Registration pick up begins at 9:00 AM! Please arrive before 10:30 AM as the kick off to the walk will begin at 11:00 AM. There will be plenty of things to check out before the event begins. 

About 1 in 260 children in the United States will develop cancer before the age of 20. In 2024, it is estimated that 14,910 children in the US will be diagnosed with cancer. That breaks down to over 40 children per day who are devastated by the news that they have been diagnosed with cancer. These are staggering statistics and ones that we are committed to changing. We are Dukes Against Childhood Cancer, a student-run organization (not a non-profit) at James Madison University, whose mission is to advocate for, bring awareness of, and contribute to the fight against, pediatric cancer.
