Event Description
The 2024 Hawaii Kai Ultra Run will be held on December 14 & 15, 2024 (Saturday & Sunday); one week after the Honolulu Marathon (12/8/2024).
The CHECK-IN and START/FINISH is at Kalama Valley Park located at 555 Kealahou St. in Hawaii Kai near Sandy Beach.
Street PARKING where available along Kealahou St.

Choose your distance: Half Marathon, 30K, Marathon, 50K, 50 Miles, 100K or 100 Miles.
The Hawaii Kai Ultra Run route is a 3.34-mile loop (3 loops is 10 miles). The Start/Finish is in the middle of the loop. From the start, runners head mauka on Kealahou St. until the turnaround at Kealahou St. and Ipuai St. Runners then head makai on Kealahou St. towards Sandy Beach and turnaround before Kalaniana'ole Hwy to return back towards the Start/Finish tent to complete a loop. Turnaround points will be clearly marked with cones and signs.

Choose your START TIME: EARLY START option is available from 3AM on Saturday morning.
Show up and sign in with your own start time at the start/finish tent. (Most people start between 3AM and 7AM on Saturday morning. Other start time options include any time on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning depending on your distance. The course will not close until the last person finishes on Sunday.
IMPORTANT: If you are planning to arrive early in the morning (before sunrise), please be quiet. The route is in a residential neighborhood, and many residents are still sleeping. Mahalo in advance!
Other Information:
HYDRATION: Gatorade, water, ice and snacks will be provided at the Start/Finish tent.
RESTROOMS: Public restrooms are available 24 hours at the Start/Finish tent.
CERTIFICATES/SHIRTS: Certificates and race shirts will be awarded to all registered finishers. Note: This event is a Marathon Maniac, Half Fanatic, and States Marathon Club qualifier and will count towards your totals. If combined with the Honolulu Marathon, you will qualify for the Marathon Maniacs.
