Event Description

Help the Argyle ISD Band celebrate our 1st annual 'Band on the Run' event on Saturday, May 11th, 2024!  

All proceeds from this race will go directly to the Argyle Band Boosters and benefit the Argyle ISD High School Band. Please help us by registering to run or walk, or even by donating directly to support the activities of the band booster program. If you are looking to make a big impact for a great cause, please sign up or donate today!

Band Boosters are comprised of any parent who has a student in the band program, and we are proud to say we have a very high volunteer support group. The boosters assist the band by providing financial support for activities, scholarships, and private lessons, as well as any projects outside the domain of the school district's revenue. The Argyle Band Boosters is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization that supports the band program.

Bring the entire family, your friends, and colleagues for a fun-filled musical morning! This is a community event open to all runners and non-runners, so we hope to see you on race day!
 
Race Day Schedule

• 7:30 am: Same-day registration
• 8:15 am: Welcome, Invocation, National Anthem and Announcements
• 8:30 am: 5K starts
• 9:00 am: 1K Fun Run starts
• 9:30 am (approx): Awards Presentation
• 12:30 pm: Course closes and event conclusion

What's Included:

• 5K: Cotton T-shirt, timing chip, bib, finishing medal
• 1K Fun Run: Cotton T-shirt, bib, finishing medal
• Volunteers: Awesome volunteer technical t-shirt, donuts & coffee the morning of and snacks & drinks during the event!

• On-site medical staff and local police presence to insure the health and safety of the runners and spectators.

Course Maps:

The 5K features a chip-timed run starting at the AISD campus, through the Canyon Falls neighborhood, and a few paved trails before returning back to the campus.

The Fun Run will start and end on the AISD campus. Perfect for casual Runners - The Fun Run (1K) can be walked, run or crawled. Enjoy the course with music by your favorite local musicians.

Awards will be presented in the following categories:

5K (overall male and female winner in each age group)

• 18 and under, 19-28, 29-38, 39-48, 49-58, 59-68, 69 and older

1K Family Fun Run (overall male and female winner in each age group)

• 5 and under, 6-10, 11-15
• Fastest Stroller! (male OR female winner)
