5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Legion Week Color Run & 5K

Join 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) soldiers, families, and friends for the 63rd Legion Week Half-Marathon 5K and 1 mile Color Run on Saturday, 21 September 2024 at Fort Campbell, KY.  All proceeds and donations from the race benefit the Special Forces Association Chapter 38.

Chapter 38 is a subordinate chapter to the National Special Forces Association, a non-profit (501c-19) Veterans’ organization for current and retired Army Special Forces Soldiers.  Established in 1964, at Ft. Bragg, NC, with 88 chapters located in the United States as well as Panama, South Korea, Germany, Thailand, Okinawa, and the Philippines; Chapter 38 is the Association’s second largest chapter.  The reason for the chapter’s being is the location of the 5th Special Forces Group (‘The Legion’) at Ft. Campbell, KY; Chapter 38 has been aligned with ‘The Legion’ since its organization in 1988, soon after the arrival of the unit to Ft. Campbell in 1986. Special Forces Association Chapter 38

The event is open to the public.  TRAVEL INFO.  Non-DODID individuals should factor in additional time prior to their EVENT START TIME on race day to obtain a visitor pass Visitor Control Center at TC Freeman Gate or Gate 7.  Vehicles entering Fort Campbell are required to have either an adult authorized ID cardholder in the vehicle or an authorized visitor pass. To obtain a pass, the vehicle operator must process at a visitor control center and present the following: valid vehicle registration, proof of current vehicle insurance, and valid driver's license. Each individual age 18 and over in the vehicle must also obtain a visitor's pass.  Visit U.S. ARMY FORT CAMPBELL VISITOR CHECK-IN for more information.  Individuals with a criminal record or outstanding warrants they may be denied access or detained and given to the local authorities.

Race Day Check-in will open at 05:30am.  

Every Runner will receive a race-day T-Shirt at check-in while supplies last. T-Shirt sizes are adult small, medium, and large.

1st 2nd 3rd place will receive medals and sponsorship packages.
