Event Description

The City of Baldwin Park will be hosting the 27th Annual Pride of the Valley 5K Run, Walk, on August 6th, 2022 at 8:00am. All registered runners that cross the finish line will receive a finisher’s medal. 19 age categories with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners receiving medals.  Tike Trot Run (8 year olds and younger) will begin be at 7:30 am.  Tike Trot has 3 age categories with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners receiving medals.  

FEATURES

• Cash bonus if overall male or female course record is set

• USATF sanctioned event

• Post-Race party, with free refreshments and awards ceremony

• High School Road Race 5K Run participants are eligible for

awards in the 5K Run and High School Road Race

• Chip Timing

• Splits at each mile

• Published category course records

• 90-minute course time limit

PRIZES

• All runners will receive a medal

• Cash award to the overall FIRST male and female 5K finisher

• Awards to top THREE finishers in each age division

• Overall top THREE boys and girls teams in the High School

Road Race will receive awards.

HIGH SCHOOL 5K ROAD RACE

• No High School uniforms allowed

• Team names must not be associated with your high school

• Teams must consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum

of 7 participants

• Category is open to youth teams eager to compete

in team road races

• The High School that registers the most participants

will win a personalized 10x10' canopy
