Event Description
Tundra Kermesse Cross
A 3 week series all from the UM Golf Course. Mass start at 4:15pm. The courses will be 2-4 miles per lap. They will be run in more of Kermesse style. These are events mostly found in Belgium. It's longer lap cross style racing, that mixes in a little bit of gravel racing. Similar to the local lap found on the Gravel Worlds Course in Belgium this year. The goal is foster some group riding, fitness riding, and get sharp for ski season or later cyclocross goals. Also, building base can be done at these events. My goal is for everyone to get about an hour of riding in each event. Courses will be marked by soccer cones.
All races will be held at the UM Golf Course from the Maurice side parking lot. Series scoring and timing done by Competitive Timing.

WHAT IS A KERMESSE?
"A kermesse cross is a cycling race that takes place on roads in and around a town, and often includes a rolling enclosure. The course is usually made up of city streets or farmland, and the streets are open to traffic when the race isn't passing through. A car with a red flag and caution sign leads the riders, and a car with a green flag and signs opens the streets back up to traffic."
TEAM COMPETITION
The teams competition, the ultimate battle among friends and trade teams. You can also start your own team and recruit others. The competition takes one scorer in each category and give you their placement as a point. Lowest points wins the team category each and the series overall. Only your best finisher in each category counts towards your team score. To be on your team they must have written down the exact same team name at registration. Also, you must wear the same outfit. You get one warning.
